I remember going to the library and taking notes in order to compile research for school projects. I loved reading through the expansive (and expensive) world book encyclopedia set in the home office. As a parent I am grateful for the technology we have as I embrace these upcoming school years for my kids. I can’t wait to get working on all the science projects sure to be in my future – minus the massive sets of books.
With Jett in school, he already has ‘smart board’ time each week (which I never had) but I worry about how technology is used with young kids to provide a safe environment online. Luckily, Bing in the Classroom provides ad-free, safe, and private search in schools, filtering adult content. It also provides digital literacy lesson plans for teachers.
I love this idea for the classroom. I appreciate not having to worry about filters, privacy, etc. I plan on discussing this program with his teacher so that Bing in the Classroom is available.
