It always amazes me how long a week can feel, but looking back it feels like time just flies by. Something that happened 6 months ago feels like yesterday. And yet this afternoon will never end. Time is such a funny thing.
I decided that in my efforts to be a real blogger, I wanted to look back over the past year and see how far the blog has come. While I have been blogging off and on for years, it seems like this is the first year I have tried to be consistent and take the time to get better photos…
Here are my top 6 favorite blog posts of 2015.
Boursin Book Party – I am working on setting up photos without having to go out and buy new things, instead opting to use things already in my home. Food trays using plate chargers and candle sticks? Why not! Old books for decor? Sure! This was a really fun event to host and I am really proud of how the photos turned out. My
Cricut Onesies – I have been afraid to try out iron on vinyl because I thought it would be hard. Honestly, the hardest part was deciding what to put on them! This project was really easy, and I was surprised how many people commented that they owned a cricut machine and had never used it!
DIY Quote art – this is the best DIY project ever, because it requires no real work on your part. NO glitter, NO glue, just your computer!
Painted Side table -I love working with chalk paint, and I love refinishing furniture. This project was a fun day where my kids were gone and I got to watch netflix and paint. I also love that I used the stencil – a decision I was weary about but ended up loving. Sometimes it pays off to branch out.
Ice Cream Sundae Bar – They say money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy ice cream. Isn’t that the same thing? I loved this simple setup. My kids loved having such ‘festive’ ice cream cones. I put the celebrate banner in my office, and it makes me feel so happy. Win win!
Grey and Gold E-Design – I love helping people to get the home of their dreams, make a space work for them, and get the final pieces just right. It gets a bit tricky for my Canadian friends because most stores don’t have a great online shopping capability. Amazon for canada kind of sucks in selection. SO in store shopping is where its at, and the best stores are sometimes awesome and sometimes you get nada. That makes it SO HARD to give specific items for people, and mostly just inspiration. So, with those challenges in mind I was pretty proud of how awesome this living room looks and the home owner executed it all herself!
