If We Were a Movie by Kelly Oram (Power of the Matchmaker #3)
If We Were A Movie is a book that I think really should be a movie. The characters are so intriguing and developed. We first meet Nate Anderson, a freshman at NYU who applied thinking it would be his escape from his brothers.
Nate is a triplet with brothers who have their own agenda and beat to their own drum, whether he wants to tag along or not. When they ruin his computer the night before a major project is due he leaves the house and meets Pearl – a stranger in a shop who will change his life. She listens to him, talks to him, and recommends someone looking for a roommate.
Jordan loves movies as much as Nate loves music – it is a part of them. The two of them get each other, but Nate has a girlfriend and has to navigate life away from his brothers without them feeling left out of everything. Its a sticky situation.
As a mom of twin boys, I wonder what life will entail for them. They are each others best friends, but one is more outgoing and social than the other, so while they LOVE each other, one NEEDS his brother more than the other does. Will they be roommates in University? Will they be close as adults? Will one cling more than the other? So many things to see as they grow up. Twins and multiples are an interesting relationship.
