Smoothies are one of my favorite snacks. I feel like I can make them healthy, taste yummy, and my kids will eat them easily as well. I have a few different go to recipes, but for the most part I just wing it with what I have in my fridge and pantry. For those of you who like to follow a recipe, I will give you my tips for the best smoothies – no recipe needed.

1. Fruit and Vegetables

I like to have at least 2 fruits and like to sneak in any veggies as well. Kale and spinach are easy to blend in, but make sure to have dark berries if you need to hide it!

2. Choose a Liquid

Depending on what flavors you are going for, add milk, juice, coconut water, almond milk, anything! I like to have at least 2 cups of liquid at the bottom so it blends to a good consistency.

3. Make It Sweet or Creamy

Add yogurt, ice cubes, peanut butter, or oats, again, depending on what flavors you are going for. Honey, Maple Syrup, Vanilla Extract, or any other extracts can help to add a different flavor or sweeten it.

4. Supplements

If you wanted to add any supplements, vitamins, etc. you can. Easy Peasy!
