Did anyone watch the new episode of Sarah Richardsons show – Sarah 101? Season 2 is just starting. I think her 101 designs are WAY more bold and colorful than she does in her own houses, or the ones she is reselling after the show.

I love individual aspects of the dining room but I feel over all its a little too bold. The doors would be awesome in a more plain room, but here with the rug it kind of bugs my eyes.

I love how they divided the paint color at the door height and did something a little unusual. I also really like the mis-matched dining chairs and the chandelier. I definitely could not live with this in my house. What are your thoughts?

I think it is too busy BUT it works. The rug, like you said, really takes it over the top for me.

I think it’s nice, but the rug makes it a bit nutty. Stripes or a pattern less crazy would have been better for me personally, but still well executed.

Hey, I’m Brooke!

I am a mom to 4 boys in Calgary, Alberta.  I love learning how things are made, singing to the radio loudly, and can’t stop talking. Fueled by diet coke and chaos, I can often be found working on a project.  You can hang out here for craft ideas and tips, games and activities to do with kids, plus FREE svg files and printables.
