I got the chance to test some new yarn – and let me tell you its like I have entered into a whole new world. I have always used yarns I can buy in a big box store and it works just fine. I got three skeins of Synchrony yarn from Brown Sheep Company to review. Its a DK weight pima cotton and wool blend that comes in 9 colors.
When I first opened the yarn it felt luxurious for the type of yarn that it is. Not scratchy, but still sturdy feeling. I actually made a cute bag with the yarn and my first attempt at sewing a zipper into a crocheted item did not go well. Luckily I had a lot of yarn left over and was able to make a few sample squares in various stitches that can also double as a wash cloth.
Company: Brown Sheep Company
Colorway: ST208 Concert
This yarn is beautiful with a variegated color (it has a lovely range in each color in the collection) with fun names to go with the colorful and fun color ways. This hand dyed yarn is soft yet sturdy – it would be great for clothing items, a lightweight sweater, or scarf.
