I am amazed at the sense of community we have in Calgary.  This past week it has rained so much, and the rivers have overflowed to the point of flooding.  What is devasating is the damage it has done, downtown is crazy with streets  made into rivers.  What is awe inspiring is the way the city has teamed together.

Mayor Nenshi has been awesome, to the point of the city begging for him to take a nap.

The saddledome is flooded to row 14, just at the executive suites.

People are getting reckless and venturing into the river to check things out.  Nenshi had a proud moment.

To honor and celebrate the strength of the city, I teamed up with Mrs. M to create this free printable.  She has gone above and beyond to gather supplies and help spread the news to residents.  To check out her thoughts, see her post HERE.

I was so heartbroken to hear about Calgary, but you’re so right – the city and conmunity really pulled through together. It made me so proud to be from such an amazing city. So glad you guys are all okay….

Brooke - Brooklyn Berry Designs

Hey, I’m Brooke!

I am a mom to 4 boys in Calgary, Alberta.  I love learning how things are made, singing to the radio loudly, and can’t stop talking. Fueled by diet coke and chaos, I can often be found working on a project.  You can hang out here for craft ideas and tips, games and activities to do with kids, plus FREE svg files and printables.
