Downfall: An Intervention Novel

Author: Terri Blackstock
Publisher: Zondervan Fiction
ISBN-10: 0310250684

From The Publisher:
Despite Emily Covington’s sobriety, she can’t escape her past. Her years of active drug addiction have made her the scapegoat for everything, including a murder. Now she has to identify the real killer to clear her name and protect her family. From the explosive first pages, New York Times bestselling author Terri Blackstock rockets the suspense level to new heights in Downfall, the third and final book in the award-winning Intervention Series.

My Thoughts:
I read this description and was so excited to receive this book.  The part that escaped my mind was the THIRD OF THE SERIES.  I have obviously not read the first two.  It turned out to be okay because the author fills you in on what had happened in the character’s past.  This book was great at opening my eyes to how serious a drug problem could be.  The struggle doesn’t end when you go to rehab or decide to quit.  It takes a long time to earn trust back as well as develop new thought processes and habits during stress.

I would recommend this book to anyone who has a family member with a drug problem.  I would also recommend this to any teenager or adult.  It was VERY suspenseful I could hardly put it down.  Now I need to go buy the first two in the series.  Better yet I will download them so I can start reading tonight.

Yes, a new book! I love books that follow a series, gives me something to look forward to after I’m done.
Not to mention that a break from reading “How To Blog” books would be a welcome change of pace, LOL!
    Cheers!

Me too! I love books that are part of a series! I’m going to keep an eye out for this one. Sounds like a good read! Thanks for sharing! BTW, I love the decor pics on your blog. Are the bathroom pics of YOUR bathroom? If so, I am so jealous! We have an old farm house in dire need of a makeover.

I also love series, I read so fast I feel like I just get to know the characters in the first book and then it’s over, I love that it’s suspenseful too. Sounds like a great book on an important topic.

I love a good book. Especially a mystery or horror. Can’t watch a horror movie ’cause it scares me to death but I can sure read em! Always looking for new authors

Hey, I’m Brooke!

I am a mom to 4 boys in Calgary, Alberta.  I love learning how things are made, singing to the radio loudly, and can’t stop talking. Fueled by diet coke and chaos, I can often be found working on a project.  You can hang out here for craft ideas and tips, games and activities to do with kids, plus FREE svg files and printables.
