We are all loving Downton Abbey with its newest season and I am starting to see the the opulent, traditional, and ornate decor making its way into the magazines and homes. While I have always loved the fashion, the traditional look of the home is dazzling.
While we may not have the stately manor homes or titles like the Earl and Countess of Grantham, we can still incorporate some similar items in our homes to make it feel regal, opulent and fitting of the royalty we surely are. If you want to stick with the Edwardian style that is specifically in the show, here are some ways to keep the style consistent with the time period.
Edwardian style interiors can include pastels, velvet, tassels, chintz upholstery, pale damasks, floral wallpapers, pale stripes, and ornate crystal chandeliers.
