DIY Painted Piano, My Annoying Corner Fireplace, Coffee Table c/o Sauder
The other day I was with all three of the kids, as well as the four cousins that live here in Calgary with us, and we were playing at the park. Nothing overly remarkable was going on, the kids were just exploring. I swear that they are growing more and more each week. The last time we were at this park I had to help Jett to reach the top of the rock climbing wall and he was terrified at every step, yet determined to make it there since his cousins could climb up all alone. This week I wasn’t even watching him and all of a sudden he was sitting on top of the rock structure, all proud.
Sometimes, as a stay-at-home mom, the funniest and most memorable moments are the everyday things. While I was looking at photos on my phone (my go-to camera these days) I loved this one picture of my boys during family photos. I like that it is not too serious: Jager is having a meltdown, his typical response to not getting what he wants. Jett has a bit of a forced smile, which is what I get for trying to convince him to sit still and help his brothers. Boston is just happy to be there and easy to smile. What a sweet moment in everyday life. I love seeing my three little guys grow up, learn new things, and have fun together as brothers.
Why Canvas?
I decided to print this photo onto a canvas. When I brought in my photos to the store, my three kids were running a bit wild. My mom was tagging along to help and Jager was insisting he push the stroller. At one moment he was lost and it was a heart-pounding, gut-wrenching moment of panic. Needless to say, I was trying to decide as fast as possible. I wanted to get the largest size of photo for my money, so while I really liked the acrylic and metal, I felt like I could purchase a larger size of canvas for the same price as another material.
What Next?
While I was in the store I saw that you can print your Instagram pics- in 4×4, 5×5, and 6×6 sizes. As I was a bit busy, I asked the really nice staff about them and discovered the BLACKS app where it’s easy to get your photos off your camera and into your home.
BLACKS believes pictures are too important to be left on a smartphone or a computer screen; they need to be brought to life, displayed, shared and celebrated. BLACKS is transforming into an inspiriting one-stop destination where you can express yourself through pictures on the NEW BLACKS.CA, on the BLACKS App and in-stores to help you take your pictures further. Visit the NEW BLACKS.CA today to get inspired.
