Family Photos are Lifelong Treasures
Family photos have always been really important to me. My Aunt and Uncle’s house burned down when their children were all really young. Thankfully everyone came out of it unscathed, but they had to rebuild everything and every photo was destroyed. Literally the only family photos they have are the pictures other family members had, whether they were candid photos, or the family portraits that were sent out at Christmas. Over the years as I find old photo books I still get excited and send it to my Aunt.
As much work as it seems to be to get everyone organized for family photos, they memories are priceless. I sometimes think, what if the photos I send out to friends and family are the only photos I had of my children? This was something that urged me towards starting a blog, many years ago. Even though the pictures we take are mostly digital now, unless I share or post them, they can get buried inside the computer.
This month Sears is having a fun promotion. With a purchase of $50 or more on kids’ fashions, you will receive 10 free personalized photo greeting cards and a free photo shoot at Sears Portrait Studio. This is perfect for those who don’t want to stress about family photos or Christmas cards. Stop in to see their cute holiday outfits (I saw the most adorable gold dress when I was there last night that literally makes my womb ache for a baby girl) and then wear the new outfits and get your family cards done in one big swoop! The dates this special is available are Oct 25 – Nov 7 with a redemption period of Oct 25 – Dec 13.
This was taken on a family trip to Hawaii, obviously in ’96. My two cousins came as well. We mailed this out as our family card that year.
Me and my older brother in front of the Disneyland Castle. This was our first vacation ever, and it was amazing.
Would you like to win a free photo shoot at Sears Portrait Studio along with 10 free personalized photo greeting cards?

Happy to have met you (although we didn’t formally introduce one another) – even if it was at the very end of #LINK2013 – I hope we get a chance to meet again 🙂
