Design Question:

We have hail damage to our windows and doors.  We just replaced the siding on the lower portion of the house.  What recommendations do you have for front door paint colors, as well as window casings?

My Answer:

I like the trim color to be a shade or two darker than the siding.  I recommend (please check the samples to make sure) Benjamin Moore’s Anchor Grey – 2126-30 or 1610 French Beret.

For the front door, if you want a safer option, go for a light grey, lighter than your siding.  Cobblestone Path 1606
Escarpment CC-518.  For fun colors, I recommend yellow or light teal.  Since I was changing it up, I threw a few other options in there just for fun.  I think the front door is a great place to add some personality to your house.

Since I cant leave well enough alone, I also added some black shutters to the biggest window, some shrubs, and a fun planter box by the front door.  I think it would add some excitement front the street view.

What do you think?  What color should she paint her front door?  Safe?  or Wild?

I personally like the red the best. You could also try a nice yellow color for a pop. I love the shutters too!
