Monday. It can be exciting, but I somehow always end up starting the day with a long to-do list. I try to keep Sundays as work free, enjoying the day with my family. This week I am working on 2 really big projects (which I will be sure to blog about when I can) and I am going to be away from all things online most of the day until school starts in September. I promise you it will be all worth it, don’t forget about me!
Monday is just in time to celebrate our weekly posts! Here is the Monday Funday Party for you all!
This Week’s Fantastic Features chosen by Merry of Merry About Town:
I find it very hard to choose from all the amazing posts linked up every week. However, Angie at Echoes of Laughter had me hook, line and sinker with this amazing sandwich. Chicken, brie and apple grilled cheese? OMG. Such a great combo. I think I will be making this next week if I get to the store to buy brie. Sounds so very delicious!
Next I’m going to give a nod to my home town of Calgary. Leslie from Ruff Ruminations shares great tips for attending a LEGO Mini-Build at one of the LEGO stores. If you’ve ever tried to go to one of these events, you know the gong shows they can be. Leslie has done the footwork and phone calls to figure out how to make it as painless as possible. Even if you aren’t near a LEGO store (or in Calgary), these are great tips for any event where disappointment might be in store for your child.
Next is kind of a self help post for me. You see, though I am a food blogger (at least in my mind), I have never made pastry. I am scared. There, I admit it. Now my friend, Jo-Anna of A Pretty Life in the Suburbs, is coming to the rescue with her recipe for the perfect flakey pie crust. She swears it is easy peasy and that I can do it. What do you think? Should I give it a try?
Last but not least (it’s my party, I can choose 4 if I want to) is a humor post from Sarah at Journeys of the Zoo. She thinks she should lie to her kids more often while I wonder if I should do it a bit less. I have been known to lie to get Evan to go to bed, to get him to get in the car, to get him out of the car….it goes on and on. Do you lie to your kids?
Thank you to everyone who linked up & I hope you will link up again this week. You never know….YOU may be featured next week!
