I Just Want To Be Alone

Jen from the uber famous blog People I Want To Punch In The Throat, or PIWTPITT, organized and wrote a book of humourous authors called I Just Want To Pee Alone.  The second volume in the series is about the men of the world and it is just as good.  Each author takes a moment to describe a funny or entertaining moment with their spouse or loved one.

I wont try to compete with the funny writers, so here is how they describe the book:

Don’t get us wrong, we love the men in our lives – we do (most of the time). It’s just that sometimes we would like them to go away. Not forever or anything like that. Just for an hour … or a day … or a weekend. We want some time to ourselves to read a good book or take a walk or do anything other than try to make a dent in the never ending mound of dirty clothes that keeps piling up on his side of the bed. We just want to be alone. All alone. Is that too much to ask? I Just Want to Be Alone is a collection of humorous essays from 37 of the most Super Cool Lady Writers you’ll find on the web. Including: People I Want to Punch in the Throat, Baby Sideburns, A.K. Turner, My Husband Ate All My Ice Cream, and Bad Parenting Moments. Read hilarious essays like: Open Letter To My Son (Or: Your Mother’s Top 10 List of Ways Not to Be a Douchebag Husband) Exploding With Love, Literally Romance is Overrated Life With the Thin Guy Dear Magnolia, Should I Marry This Man?

An entertaining read, you should take this with you on a trip to the beach, an excursion to McDonalds or Starbucks to be away from your kids, or late at night to read in bed.  As if it wasn’t already amazing enough, some of my fellow Blunt Moms are authors as well, so I have some hope of it becoming a big deal in order for them to see some rewards from this.

Here are some links on amazon for the book, as well as some others I KNOW you would enjoy along with.

Brooke - Brooklyn Berry Designs

Hey, I’m Brooke!

I am a mom to 4 boys in Calgary, Alberta.  I love learning how things are made, singing to the radio loudly, and can’t stop talking. Fueled by diet coke and chaos, I can often be found working on a project.  You can hang out here for craft ideas and tips, games and activities to do with kids, plus FREE svg files and printables.
