Is it safe to say it’s really spring?  I am not sure about the weather yet, but when it comes to home decor I say bring it on!  I am trying to finish the little details in our home so it can be FINISHED and I can hopefully get it listed for sale soon.  While shopping for some accessories I came across the adorable new line of bedding and home decor at Target called Pillow Fort.  50137169_Alt03

Its perfect for everyone.  Its wild and adventurous, and a great departure from the typical girls pink and boys blue we typically see in kids decor. There is pink and blue, but it isn’t the main theme.  There are lots of bright colors that could work in any kids room, play room, shared room, anywhere!

There are so many great items that I would use for myself, so I could easily see some decor items being used in dorm rooms, apartments, and homes everywhere.  Tell me that fox pillow wouldn’t be awesome in my home.

I think the wider color pallet lends to it being used in more spaces, and is a bit more timeless.  These are the perfect items to design a kids room that isn’t too juvenile.  A kids room that will age with them.

Here are some of my favorite items I used to design a jungle adventure playroom:

Jungle Adventure Playroom using Target's Pillow Fort collection

Zebra Head // Dino Head // Giraffe Head // Mountain Art // Seek Adventure Art
Stacking Bins // Teepee // Fox Pillow // Hello Sunshine Pillow // This Is My Happy Place pillow // Boys Only Art Wood grain Floor Bin // Industrial Chair //   Forest Sheets // Nightstand // Desk Lamp

(This post is not sponsored, my love for Target began very early in life and I blame my mom)

Brooke - Brooklyn Berry Designs

Hey, I’m Brooke!

I am a mom to 4 boys in Calgary, Alberta.  I love learning how things are made, singing to the radio loudly, and can’t stop talking. Fueled by diet coke and chaos, I can often be found working on a project.  You can hang out here for craft ideas and tips, games and activities to do with kids, plus FREE svg files and printables.
