We are in the final stretch of the school year. The end is in sight. In our house we are all very ready to be finished with the routine. Lessons over, and lake days in our future. Enjoy the last few weeks when you know all your friends will still be in town – it’s the perfect moment for a laid back movie night with some girl friends. Ditch complicated plans, grab whatever snacks you have on hand and watch a gooooood grown woman movie (as in, you don’t want your kids around).

Girls: The Complete Sixth Season
I have just started this series and I have a lot of catching up to do. It’s funny that I hadn’t heard of it, but once I did it seems like I am the only person on the planet that hasn’t seen it. Hello, Lena Dunham. The sixth season was just released, so you can catch up too! Available on Digital Download today and on Blu-ray & DVD July 25th
Big Little Lies
A perfect life is a perfect lie. Based of the book with the same name, it’s a dark comedic drama. The show is packed with amazing actors (hello Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, and Zoe Kravitz, to name a few). Not only is the story dark and twisty, the soundtrack has been making news as well. It matches the tone of the show perfectly. Season 1 is available to download, and on DVD in August.
On Netflix:
Orange Is The New Black – Season 5 is available June 9. All 13 episodes take place over a few days, so its going to be intense. I can’t wait.
Glow Season 1 June 23. A comedy drama based around women’s wrestling – the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (or GLOW). The costumes alone have my curiosity peaked.
Gypsy Season 1, June 30. Naomi Watts stars in this psychological thriller.
20th Century Women June 22. Elle Fanning stars in this drama comedy with Annette Benning.
