New Old Toys
I am always fascinated when someone (usually a speech or occupational therapist) brings over a toy or game for my kids to play with and they are so happy they run around like they just had honey boo-boo’s go go juice.
The best part is that no matter which child the visitor is there to see, all three of my boys get involved and have fun.
This week we had some friends over to play with the new LeapFrog TV. We have a (really really old) wii that they could care less about, so I was pleasantly surprised at just how much they liked the games on the LeapTV. Like other LeapFrog items, they are designed to teach your kids a variety of skills. The added features to the LeapTV is that there is a motion sensing camera so there are games where they have to move around to get the character to move on the screen. My twins are 3, and the oldest is 5 so the games were perfect for them. I managed to guide them through taking turns getting each of them set up, but all of the boys had so much fun playing (we kid tested with kids from 3-7).
The games we really enjoyed were the LeapFrog Sports and LeapFrog Dance & Learn. As my kids are pretty obsessed with animals, it worked out well that they got to see puppies and choose their colors. Simple pleasures, I tell you.
