This is the second of 12 books in the Power of the Matchmaker Series. Each book can be read as a stand alone.

Not Always Happenstance

I am loving this matchmaker series. I liked Broken Things To Mend, the first book in the series, and this second installment held up to my expectations. I love the characters.

Lani seems to struggle to make changes in her life, but really, who would want to leave Hawaii?  She has to choose between a long term and long distance boyfriend back home, and staying in Hawaii to help her grandmother run a bed and breakfast.  First, a mysterious older woman shows up without a reservation when magically a room becomes available.  Another guest arrives alone to work on a vague work project who brings with him fun and adventure.  Lani has to choose between what is known and safe and the adventurous and unknown.

Not Always Happenstance is a lighthearted and fun read.  I won’t spoil the ending, but I love Easton and his career choice!

Brooke - Brooklyn Berry Designs

Hey, I’m Brooke!

I am a mom to 4 boys in Calgary, Alberta.  I love learning how things are made, singing to the radio loudly, and can’t stop talking. Fueled by diet coke and chaos, I can often be found working on a project.  You can hang out here for craft ideas and tips, games and activities to do with kids, plus FREE svg files and printables.
