The Nude Makeup Trend

nude lookI am really loving the nude makeup trend right now.  I would classify it as a neutral more daytime look, but with a nude lip.  I am not a bright lipstick wearer, it tends to make me look like a clown, so I am all over this trend.  I had to peruse my current makeup stash to see where I could fill in.  I basically own NO lipstick and I could always use some new eyeshadows.
shopping with kids
I even managed to bring all 3 kids to Walmart with me, which in and of itself is a small miracle we all survived.  Don’t look too closely at what they are wearing. Only 1 is wearing shoes, and one had an wet accident in the makeup aisle, but overall I still consider it a success.
Purchases
So I had to test for my own research, 3 different foundations, 3 lipsticks, a new mascara, bronzer, and eyeshadow.  Its not very often I buy a few of the same brand to try simultaneously.
My winners include:
rimmell

My favorite foundation was the BB cream, which felt really light going on my face, but had a lot of coverage (I have red blotchy skin).  I like a few lipsticks, but the one I liked the most for this look was the Nude Delight, #700.

Yes, let me know if you like it. I need more coverage, so its a bit heavier? Thicker? Its awesome, but might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Brooke - Brooklyn Berry Designs

Hey, I’m Brooke!

I am a mom to 4 boys in Calgary, Alberta.  I love learning how things are made, singing to the radio loudly, and can’t stop talking. Fueled by diet coke and chaos, I can often be found working on a project.  You can hang out here for craft ideas and tips, games and activities to do with kids, plus FREE svg files and printables.
