The Husband Maker by Karey White

You know how they say always a bridesmaid, never a bride? Well this girl is never the bride, always the last girlfriend.  Every man she has dated since high school has gone on and married the next girl after her.

The Husband Maker by Karey White

Title: The Husband Maker
Author: Karey White
Series: The Husband Maker #1 of 3
Publisher: Orange Door Press
Released: Officially July 15th but I just saw it on Amazon

Book Summary:

Charlotte’s a girl with nicknames. She may not love being called Charles or Chuck, but the hardest nickname to take is the one she was given in college, the one that’s followed her now for too many years. They call her “the husband maker” and sadly, it fits. Every guy she’s dated since high school has gone on to marry the next girl they date. Not two or three girls down the road. The very next one.

Is she doing something wrong or is she just cursed?

When Kyle Aldsworth enters the picture and sweeps her off her feet, Charlotte begins to hope that maybe she’s not destined to be single forever. A senator’s son with political aspirations of his own, Kyle’s wealthy, handsome, and in need of a wife. Will Charlotte be disappointed yet again, or will she finally be able to make a husband for herself?

My Thoughts:

I love The Husband Maker.  The title alone drew me in, and then when I saw that Karey White wrote it, I was in for sure.  I loved her book For What Its Worth, and found her romance type novels fun, fresh and a unique dilemma.  The Husband Maker did not disappoint.  It was addicting from the very beginning.  My only sadness was the ending.  I am itching to read the next book, as it leaves you in a lurch wanting more. I think about this book and what happens for the characters every day. I am not exaggerating. I feel like they are good friends and I am concerned for their happiness.

Hey, I’m Brooke!

I am a mom to 4 boys in Calgary, Alberta.  I love learning how things are made, singing to the radio loudly, and can’t stop talking. Fueled by diet coke and chaos, I can often be found working on a project.  You can hang out here for craft ideas and tips, games and activities to do with kids, plus FREE svg files and printables.
