The Jungle Book

Disney just re released The Jungle Book on Blu-Ray February 11, 2014.  Fresh from a face lift and digitally remastered, its looking its best and is just as good as its always been.  I love getting to share these classics with my kids.

When my husband came home he immediately put the disc in and we watched it as a family.  We all have fond memories watching this as a kid, and it has an extra special memory for my husband who used to watch it while babysitting his nephew (who passed away a few months after my first son was born).  Watching him shake his booty to The Jungle Book’s Bare Necessities is a fond memory we all still reminisce about.

The Jungle Book is about Mowgli, a young orphan boy found in the jungles of India by a wise old black panther named Bagheera.  Mowgli is raised by an Indian Wolf alongside her own cubs.  When Shere Khan – a Bengal tiger, returns to the jungle, Mowgli decides it is best to return to the “man village” and Bagheera agrees to escort him.  The journey becomes compliacted as he is nearly eaten by a snake, meets the elephant patrol, gets kidnapped by King Louie and the orangutan’s moneys, runs into a group of vultures, and dances his way to his destination.

I hope you enjoy singing along to this fun movie and make it an extra special celebration with some Coconut Mango Cereal & Granola.

Brooke - Brooklyn Berry Designs

Hey, I’m Brooke!

I am a mom to 4 boys in Calgary, Alberta.  I love learning how things are made, singing to the radio loudly, and can’t stop talking. Fueled by diet coke and chaos, I can often be found working on a project.  You can hang out here for craft ideas and tips, games and activities to do with kids, plus FREE svg files and printables.
