The Last Snowman
by JC Little (The Animated Woman)

I first “met” JC while introduced by none other than Queen Latifah for Voices Of The Year at Blogher in Chicago.  She read aloud her ever funny and true post about pin worms.  Funny because I may have had to google what the signs of pinworms were the week previous, so I was extra attentive (and relieved it wasn’t the case in our house) after hearing her post.  In fact, you can “meet” her too – the video is on youtube!

So, not only are the words enough to have you laughing your eyeballs out, the animations have the moms in the room struggling to hold their bladders in with the laughter.

With knowing how well JC Little can write, it seemed obvious that she would have books published.  So when I found out about her book JUST out I jumped at the chance to read it.  The Last Snowman is about that last snowfall when the snow is sticky, and perfect for a snowman, but doesn’t last long.  Its short and sweet and a very fun read.  I enjoyed reading it with my boys, even if I had to build a snowman with them afterwords.

There’s something to be said about having ‘pinworms’ as the reason you are memorable haha! I’m so glad you enjoyed that VOTY reading and my book, of course. This is a wonderful review and I’m glad we’re having lots of snow in Canada right now (shoveling not withstanding). I thank you for it!

Brooke - Brooklyn Berry Designs

Hey, I’m Brooke!

I am a mom to 4 boys in Calgary, Alberta.  I love learning how things are made, singing to the radio loudly, and can’t stop talking. Fueled by diet coke and chaos, I can often be found working on a project.  You can hang out here for craft ideas and tips, games and activities to do with kids, plus FREE svg files and printables.
