The last week of the summer is here. The long weekend is here, and it is supposed to be rainy. This week my baby turned one. It doesn’t seem like he is that old, and by the time my 4th kid has his first birthday I realize its not that big of a deal. However, his older brothers are so excited and ask about the party every single day.
Back To School
My 3 oldest are in the same school this year. While that is convenient, the twins are actually attending fewer hours than their preschool last year, so hopefully I can get everything done while they are gone. I am so ready for school to start and to have some quiet time. This mommy needs a time out or a nap.
We are lucky in that we don’t need to purchase a ton of school supplies, but shoes and a lunch kid are a must. Everything has to be labelled or it ends up in the lost and found. I will be spending my long weekend organizing all the kids things and writing names all over the place. Thankfully I have some labels from Label Land to save my hand from spasming from over use. My tip is to order them with JUST your last name so you can use the same labels for all the kids, and hand me downs don’t need to be re-labelled.
Calgary Home + Design Show Upcycle Project
I am working on a project that is going to be auctioned off at the Calgary Home & Design Show. I have done a couple other projects in years past, including my pom pom chair and the message board from a door but I think this year will be my best yet. Sneak peaks are on instagram! Tickets are available online (here) and use the promo code BROOKLYN for $4 off.
All the pumpkins
Once school starts it is fair game to start working on fall decor projects. I have some fun things planned for my house, and have found some awesome inspiration. Check out these stunning pumpkins: hand painted floral pumpkins // Fabric inspired pumpkin // Paint splatter pumpkins // aren’t they beautiful?
Have a great weekend!
