I want to rant a bit, and I figure this is the safest place to do it because, its MY blog.
Its not a well hidden secret that I love me some diet coke. It started as regular coke and as I had kids and spend more time at home I find I NEED it to get through the day. More than one constitutes having to drink the diet.
Husband decided that “we” need to eat more healthy. That to him means no pop. To me those things are different. I am fine with the food, but don’t ask a mom whose highlight of her day is one little can of pop to give up her can of pop. Not your choice to make buster.
So I bought my own box. When husband saw it he flipped and was not happy with me. I told him he made a decision for himself and NOT for me. I am keeping my pop.
Cut to last night. I bought a box for myself and hid it. There was one left so I put it in the fridge, in the very bottom drawer, under the lettuce and limes, and went to the cheap movies with my mom. This morning when I woke up there was one diet coke left on the kitchen table with 2 sips taken out of it, luke warm.
RUDE! Its not your drink, you are eating “healthy” remember? I find it highly offensive that he would refuse to buy them, get mad that I bought them, then take THE LAST ONE and leave it 3/4 full taunting me. What a waste of precious nectar!
So I am spending my afternoon stocking up and hiding my new stash.

LOL! I’ve heard of hiding bottles but never cans! When I was younger my mom decided that I drank too much diet pepsi (sorry, I’m on the other side of the fence on the soda wars) and started to limit me to only one bottle a day. I started buying 2-liter bottles hehe. Now, I drink too much coffee and make that 2-liter bottle last a week. New follower from http://agoddessofliterature.com

That made me lol, my husband stated that to me once with PEPSI (oh, yes a Pepsi fan here), i just scoffed at him and went on my merry little way buying my Pepsi. Years later he is still not happy but leaves it alone because he knows that his laundry won’t make it to the washer and dinner will never get done if he makes it an issue.

This is even funnier considering what your hubby does for a living. But I would still make him sleep on the couch.

Heads would roll if that happened at my house.
Heads. Would. Roll.

I’ve been known to hide the last can/bottle, too. My hubby drinks coffee, which I don’t, so he has another source for his caffeine.

Haha!! I too am addicted to Diet Coke. But my husband is ok with it because he is totally addicted to Rock Stars which are way worse!!

One of my biggest pet peeves is opened cans of pop, half-full, sitting around everywhere in my house. I am a Dr. Pepper fan, and also regular Pepsi. I know I need to give it up, and I hate diet pop. But you’re right, I’d be ticked off if someone drank my last can. 🙂

I know right! Especially after “deciding” that “we” aka HE was going to quit. I like Dr. Pepper too. My grandmas drink of choice is their diet. I would take that as well!
