The power of a word amazes me. I am a visual person, and have a really hard time expressing myself verbally. Its why the lyrics to a song or a quote often say what is on my mind in a better way than I ever could. I love music for its ability to speak for me. I have always loved quotes and text, and love to incorporate it into my decor. From party banners to art prints, there are so many great ways to display text. My favorite design trends I am seeing everywhere on instagram and in interior styling is using light boxes or a letter board.
I have seen these awesome vintage inspired graphics used for special events as a unique sign. On instagram they are used to display a baby’s milestones (7 months!) or a holiday (Happy Valentines Day!)
You don’t see these felt letter boards used very often, so they are getting hard to find. Plastic letters can be inserted and into the felt lines to spell out whatever your hearts content. The letterboard itself is typically large compared to the size of the letters, so I often see longer quotes or song lyrics on the felt letter boards.

The light box is a smaller box that lights up from the inside. Letters are placed onto transparent squares and can be arranged as you like. Because there are less rows and the letters are bigger, it tends to have shorter words. Typically they are seen with black letters but other colors, fonts, emoji’s, and shapes are available too! The lightbox would be a cute way to take pregnancy progress photos, baby growth photos, or just for fun!
