Design Ideas for Renters

I ran across this office lounge and really liked the idea of adding color to a space without painting the walls.  I remember the main reason I wanted to buy rather then rent was to PAINT my walls anything other than white.  After a few years, and a few houses, I want to paint my walls white.  Irony, you kill me.
This space could easily be duplicated in a rental space.  An old ottoman got new legs.  The rug is from ikea.  The base pieces are neutral with the accents being in the pillows and accessories.  Bonus points of you can spot the antlers covered in hot pink rope from a hardware store.
I love these subtle accents, and as always a good DIY project here and there.  What have you done to revamp an old piece of furniture?  Any crazy DIY projects that turned out awesome?  I would love to hear about it, or see pictures.

Interesting blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A design like yours with a few simple adjustements would really make my blog jump out.

Please let me know where you got your theme. Thanks

Brooke - Brooklyn Berry Designs

Hey, I’m Brooke!

I am a mom to 4 boys in Calgary, Alberta.  I love learning how things are made, singing to the radio loudly, and can’t stop talking. Fueled by diet coke and chaos, I can often be found working on a project.  You can hang out here for craft ideas and tips, games and activities to do with kids, plus FREE svg files and printables.
