A Bridal Shower With Your Mom

Have you ever been to a Mormon bridal shower?  They are fun events, usually presented with a theme, punch, cookies, extensive decorations, and the gifts range from kitchen wares, towels, and possibly some lingerie from friends.  There are plenty of times when someone more outgoing will want to give a gift to a best friend at her bridal shower that might make said friend feel uncomfortable.  You do not want to be trashy in front of her grandma and future Mother in law.  So what can you give her?  An event such as this approached recently, and the idea of a Honeymoon Survival Kit came up.

 

This collection included items labelled with witty or funny quotes attached with some adorable stickers and labels from Martha Stewart’s line at Staples.ca.  For example:

• a mix CD of love songs
• Breath Spray & Tic Tac’s

• Candles

So, would this embarrass you?  Or would it be funny? I can honestly say this is something I could only do for a really good friend, but I still think it would be fun to watch her squirm.
