Blogher 13 in Chicago

I just got back from Chicago for my first ever BlogHer 13 conference (ok, JUST might be stretching it, but I uploaded the photos, and that is where my energy died…  I spent my first day in Chicago waking up early for my VIP (haha) tour of the Skydeck Chicago.

Not only was the conference itself amazing, there were a few tourist things I got to attend as well as some parties.

Driving through the streets, I love the beautiful patterns you see, the old brick architecture, and the one or two remaining buildings from before the BIG fire.

Everyone had a fun photo op, but this was really cute.

Although Dr. Travis Stork is pretty cute too.  He was there representing at the Arm & Hammer booth.  I recognized him, but didn’t INSTANTLY recognize him because he was strangely left alone?  There were no crowds, so I had to double check.  He is really tall in real life.

La-Z-Boy

I think the lazy boy guys were so funny.  They all had suits made of upholstery fabric, and the chairs on display matched a few of their suits.  It was too hilarious not to document.

So, The Pioneer Woman.  She is a pretty big deal.  She was also the opening speaker at Blogher.  I was so excited to get a picture with her.  I told her, UMMM I Don’t cook, so I haven’t tried your recipes, but I love your home stuff, and dream of shopping from your closet!  She was just like.. UMMM OK.  So I took this photograph, and instagramed it with a heart around us. Whahaha.  I tried hard to convince her that we were meant to be besties.

Pioneer Woman BFF

See?  We ran into her again, and my friends were intimidated to interrupt her, but I proudly proclaimed her as my BFF and she said “Oh I know you!”.  I also got to meet her sister and daughter that were there as well.

So, besides my star struck moments, enjoying the parties, I still have more to tell you about the actual blog conference itself.  I will get there!
