Have you read dooce.com and wanted to wander the halls? Now you can. And for about $1.5 Million you could own this house! It includes 9 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms you would have to clean. It is large, and very beautiful, but it feels a bit bipolar in that some rooms are really traditional, and others are modern, bohemian or Tuscan. Take a look and let me know what you think.

What do you love and what do you hate?

Brooke

Of course it would be a thrill to own this home without a mortgage of course however you are correct with the “bipolar” statement. Good analogy 😉

BTW this is Mike Bluestone with Smile Brilliant. You requested product for review and I was taking a look at your site. Your doing great! I will be in contact with you shortly!

Are you sure that kitchen and wood paneled room aren’t from another house? They’re terribly out of place! Mostly I like it wouldn’t mind owning it just to remodel the kitchen as long as someone else paid the bills and the housekeeper 😉

Wouldn’t this kitchen look great painted? T doesn’t seem to fit with the style of the current owners, but I think given more time and money it would get there.

I would love to have a stab designing the 2 round rooms (the one off of the livingroom and the one attached to her bedroom). The room on the first floor would be great with some built-in window seats or lots of plants – such wasted opportunity. Overall – I think the house looks cold and that all the decor is from Ikea or West Elm, not very original or personal.

I think you could use west elm and ikea and have a room with lots of personality, if you use it the right way and add your own touch.

I think they do not have the money or taste to decorate a house like that. Looks empty and sad.

Maybe this is just me being really opinionated, but most celebrity or other big $$ houses are usually really bland. Not a lot of personality. Which is sad.

It looks like a group rehab home more than a family home. It’s not cohesive and I can’t decide if I like all the round rooms that are adjacent to the main rooms, or if that just adds to the ‘weird.’
