The home was built in 1909 and the character of the home remains. Grand crown moldings and columns flank the room openings – combining both painted while moldings and stained wood on either side. Its a perfect blend of styles. The homes style is described as French Renaissance Revival. The decor in the living room off the entry is mid-century modern.
The dining room had one of the most amazing transformations. The furniture layout is much better suited for entertaining or for a family meal. The room feels larger and brighter.
The kitchen – how amazing is that skylight?
That en suite bathroom is what dreams are made of. It looks elegant enough to be in a hotel (it reminds me of the Grand America hotel in SLC) but it has so much more personality. The lead glass windows and skylight are stunning.
This is the basement playroom with doors that open to the outside. I love that it looks glam but still seems appropriate for kids to play there. I’ll take it!
For the location and size, the listing price seems reasonable, especially compared to Ellen and Portias Montecito Home.
