Get in the holiday spirit with these free printable Christmas ornaments coloring pages to decorate and craft with this holiday season.

Printable coloring pages are great for kids of all ages. It’s always nice to have some ready for kids while waiting for dinner at a holiday party, or any event near the Christmas holidays. Its always better to be over-prepared with entertainment!

These retro looking ornaments are each filled with their own unique pattern based of my own ornaments I have collected over the years. There are 4 pages of different designs for you to color in and decorate with your favorite colors. These free printable ornament coloring pages are designed for family members and children of all ages. These are the perfect coloring pages for older kids who can also add their own doodles and dots, colored patterns, or anything to make it their own. It would be a fun activity to print a few copies and color each in various color schemes.

If you too love coloring check out my other free printable pages to color: Squishmallow Coloring Pages and Mittens coloring pages.

How To Use Christmas Ornaments Coloring Pages

These unique ornaments can be used in many different Christmas crafts. Here are some of my favorite ways to use these festive designs:

  • Color the simple outlines and cut out around the the shapes. Attach them to wrapped gifts for the most adorable gift tags.
  • Add a string to make paper ornaments for the christmas tree.
  • Handmade christmas cards for kids, or christmas decorations.

There is no best way to use these free ornament coloring pages –  each of the simple designs is a great option for older children, little kids, or teens. Add some glitter glue, sequins or pom poms for the some sparkly holiday crafts.

Recommended supplies for free coloring pages:

  • card stock for printing onto
  • something to color with – crayons, pencil crayons, markers, watercolor paints, etc.
  • optional – scissors, glue, sequins, etc.
  • I use this basic printer for all of my printing needs.
  • HP Instant Ink is my favorite way to save money on ink. Never run out of ink again!

Benefits of Coloring pages

We may think of coloring pages and activity pages as just a fun way to pass time, but they also have some really cool benefits for kids.

Coloring has been found to have a calming effect on the mind and body. Its a great way to help reduce stress and anxiety levels by allowing individuals to focus on the present and promote mindfulness.

The rhythmic and repetitive motions involved in coloring activate the relaxation response in the brain, leading to a sense of tranquility and improved mental well-being.

Coloring also contributes to cognitive development, especially in children. When children color, they learn to color recognition, develop hand-eye coordination, and improve their fine motor skills.

Coloring also enhances creativity and imagination as it encourages individuals to make choices regarding color combinations and design elements, fostering problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Therapeutic Benefits: Coloring is widely recognized as a therapeutic activity that can be used as an effective tool in art therapy. It provides a non-verbal means of expression, allowing individuals to communicate their emotions, experiences, and inner thoughts through colors and images. Art therapy through coloring can benefit individuals dealing with trauma, depression, or other mental health challenges, providing them with a safe outlet for self-expression and promoting emotional healing.

If you are printing these for younger kids with little hands, remember that large crayons, pencils, and markers are easier to hold than small and slim coloring pens and supplies.
