Craft books are a great gift for the crafty friend on your list – year round and especially at Christmas.  As much as there is inspiration online, some great books have helpful instructions and template designs you won’t get anywhere else.  Here are some favorite craft books to give to a crafty friend (or even yourself!)

Use the patterns included in the book, or get the SVG files to create these projects by hand and with your cutting machine.

Paper Party: Easy-to-Make Projects for Parties, Celebrations and Even Home Decor

Whether you are the queen of party planning, or just need ideas and help for an event, Paper Party is a must have. With party themes including Llamas, Gnomes, Ice Cream, Happy Campers, and Hot Air Balloons you will be right on trend with a party everyone will remember because its just that cute.  Paper Party includes the patterns to create the projects by hand, and the digital SVG files are available from the Hey Let’s Make Stuff site for crafters with a Cricut or Silhouette machine.  Way to make it easy! Paper Party is available on Amazon and Leisure Arts.

Hot Glue Crafts

Hot Glue Hacks and Crafts: 50 Fun and Creative Decor, Fashion, Gift and Holiday Projects to Make with Your Glue Gun

The only required materials or tool for these projects is a glue gun and a creative mood.  Hot Glue Hacks and Crafts has a collection of fun projects to make in ideas that are way more creative than what you would think.  Get more details in my full review (here).  You will never look at a hot glue stick the same way again. Add it to your Amazon cart here!

Make & Give Home Apothecary  – Easy Ideas for Making & Packaging Bath Bombs, Salts, Scrubs & More

Whether you want to learn a new skill or just practice some self care, you need to check out Make & Give Home Apothecary.  This book by Stephanie Rose (of Garden Therapy) includes easy ideas for making and packaging bath bombs, salts, scrubs, and more.  With tried and true recipes you will be well on your way to being the gift giver of the year.  Get your copy from Leisure Arts, Amazon, or get a signed copy on Etsy!

Cutting Machine Crafts – Cricut, Sizzix, or Silhouette

If you have seen the amazing paper flower creations all over pinterest, chances are you have heard of Lia Griffith.  She has created beautiful projects for every occasion.  Cutting machine crafts includes the option for cutting by hand as well as the SVG files to use on your Cricut or Silhouette machine.  From inspiration to project assembly, Lia walks you through every step of the project. Pick up your copy from Amazon or from Lia’s site.  You might want to pick up some of her crepe paper too!

Have a craft book suggestion? Let me know what you think needs to be on this list!  Don’t forget to see all my craft book reviews here.

Brooke - Brooklyn Berry Designs

Hey, I’m Brooke!

I am a mom to 4 boys in Calgary, Alberta.  I love learning how things are made, singing to the radio loudly, and can’t stop talking. Fueled by diet coke and chaos, I can often be found working on a project.  You can hang out here for craft ideas and tips, games and activities to do with kids, plus FREE svg files and printables.
