This weeks show home is from the community of Mahogany in Calgary.  This is an estate home built for lakeside living by Calbridge Homes.  The model is the Cypress.

I love the overall colors of this house.  The living room doesn’t have a fireplace, which is odd to me, but most people end up with a TV in here anyways, so this works well.  My favorite part of the entire room is the board and batten columns flanking the TV.  What a simple way to add architectural interest to the space for a low cost.

Sorry this is blurry, but its the only picture I got of the kitchen.  I love how the cabinets on each side touch the counter top.  Again the colors are awesome and the drawers on the island would be so useful.

Breakfast nook.  I believe this dining table is from Restoration Hardware.

This is the den to the side of the nook.  Its very narrow but it works for this use.mahoganny showhomes 184

Master Bedroom

Flex space in master bedroom.  Could be used as an office, lounge area, music room, nursery, workout room, etc.  This would be amazing if you needed the space, but stupid if you didn’t have just the right use for it.

Bonus room.  I love that there is a mini bar without it taking up the entire space.  The room is large but not overstuffed, so it works well for me.  Overall, this house felt nice and spacious (just under 3,000 sq. ft. it better be spacious!) and I felt it was different enough looking to feature.
Next week I will feature another show home, its quite different and I can’t wait to hear what you think about it.

Great stuff, your house is beautiful. What are your thoughts on led lighting strips to accentuate a series of shelves in a not very well lit corner of the living room?
