Its Show Home Sunday!  Today’s house in a model / floor plan called Hawthorne, built by Cardel Homes and in the community of Cranston, here in Calgary.  I love that this house is a bit more traditional in elements while still be very fresh and modern.  The two styles mix together seamlessly for a beautiful home that will stand the test of time.

I am still loving the two cabinet colors – painted white perimiter cabinets and wood stained island cabinets.  Vintage inspired light fixtures, the subway tile back splash, and quartz countertops are timeless finishes that will look great for years to come.  The bar stools are just ok for me. Overall a beautiful white kitchen that could work for many different styles of homes.

I think the home office is so cute.  I love that cabinet with the detailed cutouts in the doors.  I hate hate hate the window coverings.  They don’t actually work, they don’t fit the space, its just wrong.  I would rather see a flat roman or roller shade.

The florals all look amazing.  I love that seagrass rug and coffee table.

This little girls bedroom totally reminds me of something I had as a girl.  I totally had the balloon style window treatments, but mine came with the perfect 1990’s floral wallpaper and duck border.  This bright green and purple girls room is cute and fun, while still being totally age appropriate.  Modern meets traditional in a perfect mix for this little girl.

Love this bonus room.

SO CUTE this boys bedroom.  This is a way better example of how to do the windows than what was done on the first floor.  This makes sense and totally works. I love the orange, blue and green color scheme and its just so adorable.

This hexagon tile bathroom floor with the flowers inset is so adorable.  I can’t imagine loving this any more.

What were your favorite things to see in this house?

Love this house. The kitchen is awesome. I so want white cabinets. I love my kitchen for many reasons but the one that I hate is the DARK cabinets.

What are the paint colors pictured above? They’re nice and neutral, which I really like.

I love the wood floors and stain color of the center island in the kitchen. Any chance you have wood species for both as well as stain colors? We are building a new house and I want this kitchen. Thank you for any information.

    Hi,
I love your kitchen. I’m remodeling and I’m also going wth a white kitchen and dark wood island. Where did you purchase the light fixtures over the island? I’m also decorating with stainless cabinet pulls but want bronze light fixtures to match with rest of my home. Thanks!

Beautiful, beautiful! Could you tell me where the wood floor is from, the name and manufacture, any info you have on the floor? Love it! Thank you!

Brooke - Brooklyn Berry Designs

Hey, I’m Brooke!

I am a mom to 4 boys in Calgary, Alberta.  I love learning how things are made, singing to the radio loudly, and can’t stop talking. Fueled by diet coke and chaos, I can often be found working on a project.  You can hang out here for craft ideas and tips, games and activities to do with kids, plus FREE svg files and printables.
