Hey, everyone! I’m so excited to share this easy and delicious recipe for Christmas Cookie-Cutter Peppermint Fudge with you. It’s perfect for the holidays, or any time you need a sweet treat. Plus, it’s a super fun recipe to make with your kids.
If you have been around here for a while you may be shocked to see a recipe on this blog, and while I am no expert at testing and developing new recipes I do have a few tried and true things I make every year with my family that I have mastered. So, if its something I am sharing know that its easy to make and I will share any tips to make it foolproof.
Sweet chocolate fudge is one I always ask my mom to make each year, and this year my kids wanted to make it together. So we adapted our typical fudge in a sheet pan into this very simple fudge recipe and tried out this new method of putting the fudge inside cookie cutters to make them into fun shapes. This is a perfect addition to a box of treats to give to friends and neighbors this time of year.
Here’s what you’ll need to make cookie cutter Christmas fudge:
- Measuring Cups
- Measuring Spoons
- medium saucepan
- Large mixing bowl
- Spatula
- Parchment Paper
- Cookie Sheet
- Cute Cookie Cutter – Christmas shapes preferred
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips
- 7 oz sweetened condensed milk 1/2 can
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter room temperature
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Nonstick spray
- 3 tbsp Andes Peppermint Crunch Baking Chips (option: crush candy canes or peppermint candies to make your own peppermint chips)
Here’s what you’ll do:
- First, gather all the ingredients needed for the Peppermint Fudge recipe.
- Next, prepare your double boiler. Fill a cooking pot with water up to one-third and bring it to a simmer. Turn the heat down low to maintain the simmer.
- Place a large bowl (can be metal or glass) on top of the pot, make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water.
- Add butter, chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract into the bowl. Stir constantly with a spatula until everything is melted and has a smooth consistency.
- Line a cookie sheet or pan with parchment paper.
- Place cookie cutters onto the parchment paper. Spray the inside of the cookie cutters with a non-stick spray. This helps to remove the fudge later on.
- Fill the cookie cutters with the fudge, making sure to reach all the corners and small sections.
- Sprinkle peppermint baking chips on the top of the fudge and press them gently in place.
- Chill the fudge in the fridge for 2 hours or overnight until firm.
- Remove the fudge from the cookie cutters by gently pressing onto the fudge.
- Place on a plate with other assorted treats and gift them to a friend!
