New Technology Available When Designing an Office

office

The largest expense when businesses expand is having to set up the actual working space for them.  A lot of people built in drywalled walls and mini offices for employees, but as needs change and the company grows, this is not cost effective in the long run.  I am very pro modular furniture for that reason.

I got the chance to view the Green Learning Center (NOT showroom) at Dirtt (which stands for Do It Right This Time), a Calgary based commercial design and and manufacturing company.  What an amazing company for thinking outside of the box.  Literally.  Basically?  They can provide everything for inside your space. Raised floors to hide electrical wiring, power, walls, doors, cabinets, work spaces, you name it, they can make it.  If you have something you have dreamed about, I am pretty sure they would make it happen, just to see it happen.

What I like about Dirtt?  The company oozes culture and personality from top to bottom.  Employees have no titles, and instead call themselves dirttbags.

More importantly, Dirtt has a major focus on the environment and sustainability.  They incorporate recycled materials such as denim insulation. The DIRTT walls are adaptable, able to be configured and technology smart, saving the waste from the landfill.  The lead time is the shortest I have ever heard of in the industry.  About 2 weeks, from ordering to installation.  Amazing.

Innovation, sustainability, efficient, and best of all, beautiful.

Do you have contact info for dirrt?

(Your may 30 post). This is probably going to be a super busy timefor them, but a 2 week modular install office reno is going to come in handy for a lot of people really soon.

I am sure if you called their office they could direct you to someone that could help. Your right, a two week turn around for Calgary after this weekend will be VERY helpful. Their phone number is 403-723-5000.

Brooke - Brooklyn Berry Designs

Hey, I’m Brooke!

I am a mom to 4 boys in Calgary, Alberta.  I love learning how things are made, singing to the radio loudly, and can’t stop talking. Fueled by diet coke and chaos, I can often be found working on a project.  You can hang out here for craft ideas and tips, games and activities to do with kids, plus FREE svg files and printables.
