HOW TO MAKE EASY FATHER’S DAY CARDS WITH CRICUT JOY

Open the Cricut Joy App on your phone (or the design space app on your computer). Make sure your machine selection is set to Cricut Joy. I found the design by using the filter in the upper right and searching dad or father.

Choose your design – my card shown uses the “Greatest Dad In The World” design, which was picked out by my son who is obsessed with space. You can open my project in design space HERE!

Select Start Making. Select the finished card size (the Cricut card sets were the medium size – you can confirm yours by lining it up on the card mat). Then select Next.

Materials and cut settings are automatically selected on the app. Select Make it.

Select which cutting mat you are using – in this case we are using the Cricut Joy Card Mat.

Check that the fine point blade is installed – this card does not require any markers or other tips.

Remove the plastic sheet from the card cutting mat. Slide the card into the card mat from the left side – one side of the card should be under the plastic divider and the other side on top.

When the white light on the machine is flashing, load the mat from in the app – select “go”.

Once cutting is complete, select “unload” on the app.

Carefully lift the cut card from the top sheet and slide the card out from the mat. Remove the leftover pieces of cardstock with the scraper tool. Attach the insert card by tucking it into the corners on each corner tab.
